Anniversary Date

This evening Felipe and I celebrated our first anniversary, and will hopefully have opportunity to celebrate many more!

Here is a short video of Nnenna Freelon who was performing at Dizzy's Club. It was a great show and I couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Cebrating One Wonderful Year

The Beginning....

He is the love of my life, and makes everyday seem just that much brighter. I'm looking forward to every new day with him.

Before I was the middle child....

October 1983

... I was just a younger sister. Just a little walk through some visual memories. I can't believe this photo was taken 25 years ago. Of course I don't remember much about my sister around this time - I was much too young, but it's fun to look through the old photographs of us together. Because I live so far away, I don't get to spend as much time with them as I would really like. I think about my sisters often, and miss them. Sometimes I feel even a little jealous that the two of them live so close to each other.

I know it will be awhile, but I'm looking forward to the next time I go home and we can go bowling...

Tribute Lights

God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December.
-James Matthew Barrie

The World Trade Center Memorial Lights as seen from our window.

It seems strange to comment on such an event, as I was a distant stranger to New York when it happened. But the lights are catching and serve as a reminder...that our memory is there so that those that have past may be kept alive for us in the present. Something to think about each day, not just on the anniversary of a great tragedy.
