Goodnight Moon

Was sitting on the couch this evening doing some work, and notice in the sky that the moon was pretty bright and clear. I love that my camera can take such a nice photo of the moon. Thought I would share it with you all...

La Luna - The Moon

The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.

The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house,
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.

But all of the things that belong to the day
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall arise.

-Robert Louis Stevenson

What a beautiful sight - a beautiful (almost)full moon this morning again...this time I was prepared with a few extra minutes so that I could take a couple of photos. I managed to grab a better shot than yesterday :D I'm excited to have a camera that gets this much detail.

Moon Set

This morning I stepped out of our apartment building to go to work and was greeted to the west by a giant moon. Of course the picture doesn't do the scene justice, but I had to go to work! (although I would rather have stopped to set up a nice scene like this one).

**Update - I got a couple of nice shots this morning, will post another after work tonight!
