The Last Train from Paris

The Last Train from Paris
Felipe and I dressed as Khover T. Ageante and Mary K. Trarie.

Last night we had a fun murder mystery dinner with a few friends. We purchased a "murder mystery game" online and have had it for almost a year now. We wanted to invite all our friends, but unfortunately there were only 8 roles. The next game we'll arrange for more roles so we can invite more people!

The "Suspects"

Barbara
Barbara Z. Enhussie (Sammi)

Mal
Malcom R. Conntint (Mike)

The Duke
Duke Schwazhe B. U. Klare (Cord)

Belinda
Belinda Screete (Eva)

Wey
RAF Group Captain Weyland W. Awfcorse (James)

Idelle
Princess Idelle Chattre (Amelia)

Khover
Khover T. Ageante (Felipe)

Mary
Mary K. Trarie (Silva)

The Task:

We were all guests on the last train leaving Paris before the Nazi's occupation on June 14, 1940. Each of us was invited by a mysterious person to join on the train. This person it turns out was murdered shortly after the train left Paris. We were all to try and solve the mystery a la Orient Express.

Invite

Invite 2

Invite 3

Last Train from Paris
Getting the night underway with introductions.

Last Train from Paris
Idelle and the Duke during introductions.

Last Train from Paris

Last Train from Paris
Barbara explains the cyanide she bought from Mal...

Last Train from Paris
Wey, is he telling the truth? or could he be hiding something?

Last Train from Paris
Khover doubts the "facts".

Last Train from Paris
Belinda, Wey and Barbara

Last Train from Paris
Khover and the Duke, listening carefully in case of an revelations...

Last Train from Paris
Mal - is he revealing information or is he concealing something?

The story was a bit complicated at times, but over all a lot of fun. I cannot reveal who the murderer was, as I may be passing this game on to someone else to use...but let's just say it was a shocker! We'll definitely be doing another murder mystery party in the future, but like I said we'll try to get one with more characters. Felipe says he may try his hand at writing one himself, so maybe if he starts now it can be ready by next halloween ;)

That looks like a ton of fun! I've always wanted to host a murder mystery party - or attend one.

We do a murder mystery the Friday after Thanksgiving. We should do a swap! My mom is really good at making other characters who aren't suspects, but makes a little bio about them to participate in the game so we all have parts! It is SOOOOO fun! This year we have an Italian theme!

Where did you come up the fake documents? Love the added touch. Planning this for a upcoming family event. Thanks, Nicki

Thanks Nicki :) I made them myself to give the dinner a little more authentic feel. If you send me an email, I can send you the documents as an attachement. I'd be happy to share them. Email at: postcards @ footintheface com

Hi Silva, I live in. Normandy France and I am hoping to have this dinner party on 6th may. I wonder if it's possible for you to email me a copy of the audio and the map of this game only. I have the rest of the game but it was missing these parts when I bought it. Of course I would be happy to pay you through paypal for them. Even just the picture of the train carriages. I could print it from a picture. I have tried to find someone for a copy for weeks now. I would really appreciate it. I enjoyed your photos of your night and hope mine is as successful.
Kind regards
Marilyn Gould

Hi! Your party looks amazing! I just bought this game and it's missing belinda's secret clue.
I have no idea how important the info is but i assume it is because it's a clue.

Is there any chance you still have the game and can send me the text or photo of belinda's secret clue?

I would be forever grateful!
